Experience

Hello and welcome to my page! Some info about me below, feel free to reach out if you have any questions! :) I am a 3rd year PhD student working in the field of cancer genomics with a big passion for teaching and tutoring! I'm currently well immersed in cutting-edge science and I've published several papers in high-impact journals (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=7VS_nzUAAAAJ) Right now I offer tutoring services here as a fun side-gig from my PhD studies, as I've always loved explaining new concepts to interested students. As a tutor, I really try to break down the subject at hand into something that's intuitive and easy to follow. Well-known science explainers such as Feynman and Sagan have always been a huge source of inspiration to me, and it feels great to give something back as well! The feedback I've received from students has always been exceptional, and I try to do my very best to ensure that a student grasps the concepts. I'm very proficient in teaching any STEM-related subject. Nonetheless, due to the interdisciplinary nature of my research I have no problems quickly grasping and teaching concepts in other fields. For instance, I've previously helped out with Psychology, English, Product design, and Philosophy homework. I've directly supervised several students: - 1 MSc thesis student, graduated in 2020 (Now pursuing a PhD at Cambridge) - iGEM competition in synthetic biology 2019 (12 students, bronze medal awarded) - iGEM competition in synthetic biology 2020 (12 students, silver medal awarded) I've been involved in various teaching activities starting from my bachelor to my doctoral studies. Below is a list of courses/workshops i have thought at Chalmers: - Univariate calculus, 1st yr. BSc. - Linear algebra & differential equations,1st yr. BSc. - Multivariate calculus, 1st yr. BSc. - Programming in MATLAB, , 1st yr. BSc. - Experimental design, 3rd yr. BSc. - Introductory cell & molecular biology, 1st yr. BSc. - Chemistry (Tekniskt basår), High-school level. - Tidy data analysis & visualization in R, Doctoral level. - Vector graphics with Affinity Designer, Doctoral level. On this site I've previously had the chance to tutor 7 different student (high school level) at multiple occasions!
