I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Idaho USA under the College of Education in 2011. I traveled to Italy where I studied at the University Tuscia, there I was focusing on Language Basics and Teaching Pedagogy. I studied in 2014 with Columbia University at their Teachers College where I was certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL).
Experience
For the past 10 years I have been traveling the world and teaching English. I have spent time teaching in New Zealand, Russia, Italy, China and now Sweden. My time in New Zealand was spent working with children who had speech impediments, helping them work on the pronunciation and development of the English Language. I then spent 2 years traveling the world with the Walt Disney Company primarily working with their education system throughout Asia as a Disney English Teacher. When I relocated to Sweden four years ago I began working as a pre-school teacher for a local international school based in Gothenburg. I am certified in both English Education and ESL. Although I have been studying and working with ESL for many years, I have a very unique approach to teaching. I want my students to learn practical speaking first and to feel confident with their language abilities. I have tutored a variety of ages in the Gothenburg area and am happy to provide references.
